Hey there, I'm Megan Lynette

Megan Lynette is an American singer-songwriter and recording artist of contemporary Country and Christian music. She desires to make Jesus and His Kingdom known through her music and paints stories of joy, struggle, hope, healing, love, and perseverance.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Megan Lynette started playing the violin at the young age of 5 and singing in a Baptist church choir at age 6. Her earliest and most precious memories of music were listening to Al Green, the Chi-Lites, Anita Baker, Sade, and Whitney Houston on long car rides with her mother.

In 2004, Megan began using the gifts and talents God had given her to bring glory to Him as a worship leader in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she met her husband. She expanded her experience to performing in community theatre musicals locally.

In 2016, after experiencing the Lord calling her to share her story through songwriting, Megan enrolled in the school of two-time Grammy Award nominee Sarah Kelly. Attending the school, Megan received valuable mentorship and even performed for Tobin Hyman (“The Voice” talent producer) and Mike Clink (American record producer).

Channeling a distinct style of pop, modern country, and contemporary Christian music, Megan’s musical vision mostly aligns with the likes of Mandisa, Natalie Grant, Naomi Raine, and Brooke Ligertwood. She remains empowered to see the body of Christ united and empowered through the trials and triumphs she is overcoming.

 

The talented artist was honored as a Maverick City Gospel Choir member during their Welcome to Maverick City Music Tour in 2021. In 2022, Megan Lynette’s first single, “Broken,” was released, painting a vivid and visceral picture of pain, tragedies, confusion, and resilience. Inspired by her own life experiences, Megan’s music underlines a sense of authenticity and vulnerability which has become her own identity.

 

Alongside her husband, Megan Lynette currently serves as worship leader at Relate Community Church in Spring, Texas. When she isn’t writing and recording music, she brings a holistic healing approach through the love of Jesus Christ and modern medicine to her patients as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

 

With the hopes of bringing glory to Jesus Christ through singing, writing, and sharing meaningful music, Megan hopes to soon release her sophomore single, “Only Hope” in 2023.
